The Spark We Saw Missing
Many kids today find traditional STEM education boring, intimidating, or irrelevant to their lives. Rote memorization and rigid curricula often fail to spark their curiosity, leaving them disengaged and discouraged from exploring the world of technology.
This is especially true for girls and underrepresented groups, who may not see themselves reflected in tech roles or feel encouraged to pursue them. As a result, countless children miss out on the opportunity to discover their potential in a field that is shaping the future.
Our Spark: Learning Through Play
Spark Techies is on a mission to change the way kids experience STEM. We make learning technology fun, accessible, and exciting through interactive, hands-on projects and small class sizes that foster creativity and collaboration.
Our programs are designed to ignite curiosity, build confidence, and show kids that tech isn’t just about coding or equations—it’s about solving problems, creating something new, and having fun along the way. Whether it’s building a robot, designing a game, or exploring AI, we help kids discover the joy of tech in a way that feels like play, not work.
Our Story
We’ve always believed in technology’s transformative power and how it will shape our kids' future. But we noticed something—boys often seemed drawn to tech from a young age, while our girls didn’t have that same initial pull.
Then came the Lego STEM projects. Watching our daughters build, create, and problem-solve, their excitement was contagious! They weren’t just learning; they were discovering a passion for technology they didn’t know they had.
That’s when it clicked for us. Every child deserves this kind of spark, this 'aha' moment where they realize they can do amazing things with technology.
So, we created Spark Techies. We want to make tech education fun and engaging for all kids, especially girls who might not think 'tech' is for them. We’re here to show them that technology is for everyone—it just takes curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to give it a go!
