3D Printing Classes for Kids & Adults

From beginner to advanced—learn to design, create, and innovate with real 3D printing skills

3D Printing Process

We Teach Design Thinking, Not Just Printing

Our 3D Printing Pathway is designed for students who are ready to go beyond just printing objects. Through small class sizes, hands-on learning, and guided mentorship, students build strong foundations in TinkerCAD, develop practical design skills, and then choose a pathway in art or engineering before completing a final capstone experience.

More Than a Hobby Class

Our 3D printing program is built to help students understand how design works, how ideas become real products, and how creativity and engineering come together.

Unlike casual maker sessions, our pathway is structured, skill-based, and designed to help students grow with confidence.

Key Points:

  • Structured pathway from beginner to advanced
  • Students learn real 3D design tools and concepts

  • Small class sizes for personalized guidance

  • Supports both creative and engineering interests

  • Builds problem-solving, design thinking, and innovation skills

  • Self paced journey

20 shared lessons Students begin with TinkerCAD, where they learn core 3D design fundamentals in a fun and beginner-friendly environment.

Students learn to:

  • Understand shapes, structure, and spatial thinking

  • Build foundational design skills

  • Turn ideas into printable models

Who This Program Is For

Our 3D Printing Pathway welcomes both kids aged 8+ and adults who love to build, create, and solve problems — whether your passion is art, design, robotics, engineering, or simply learning how things are made.

The pathway is structured, but the pace is yours. Every learner — child or adult — starts at the right stage for their experience and advances only when they've mastered the skills, never by the calendar.

Structured pathway. Self-paced journey. For every age.

FAQ

1.What ages do your classes serve?

Our weekly classes welcome kids from age 5 to 14, grouped by age and level. Younger builders (ages 5–8) start in our Level 1–2 classes, while older students (ages 9–14) join Level 3+ and can progress all the way to competition teams (FLL & FTC). Our 3D Printing Pathway is open to kids 8+ — and adults too!

2.Does my child need any experience?

None at all! Most of our students have never touched a robot or a 3D printer before their first class. Every child starts with a free trial and assessment, and we place them at the level that fits their skills and confidence — not just their age.

3.How do your levels work?

Spark Techies uses a structured, self-paced pathway. Levels are aligned to school grade and cognitive readiness, but your child advances only when they've mastered their current skills — never by the calendar. Fast learners move up quickly; others take their time. Both are exactly right.

4.What if my child is ahead of — or behind — their age group?

That's exactly what our placement assessment is for. Your child works on projects at their level while learning alongside peers their own age. If they need a boost, we offer optional one-on-one booster sessions to build core skills quickly. If they're ahead, we fast-track them — including into our competition teams.

5.How big are the classes?

Small — 1:6 teacher-to-student ratio, so every child gets real hands-on time with the equipment and real attention from instructors.

6.What's included in the price?

Everything. Robots, laptops, 3D printers, filament, and all project materials are included in your fee — nothing extra to buy, nothing to bring.

7.How does billing work?

Currently we have 2 levels of the 3D printing class. 10 classes per level. So you pay for 10 classes pack. Prefer to pay monthly? Call to let us know.

8.Can we join mid-term?

Absolutely — many families do! Because every student learns at their own pace, there's no "falling behind the class." Your child starts at the right level from day one, and you only pay for the remaining classes in your first billing cycle — never for classes before you enrolled.

9.What if my child misses a class?

Life happens! Give us at least 24 hours' notice by phone or email, and we'll arrange a make-up class (up to 2 per term). Make-ups are taken within your child's own level, since each student's journey builds on their last class. Classes missed without notice, or no-shows, can't be credited.

10.Can we pause or cancel?

Yes — there are no long-term contracts. Just give us 30 days' notice before your next billing date, and you're free to pause or cancel. Unused prepaid tuition can also be converted to a family credit for camps, birthday parties, or siblings.

11.Are there competition opportunities?

Yes! Advanced students can join our FLL (FIRST LEGO League) and FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) teams — real international robotics competitions that look fantastic on school and scholarship applications.
